A 13 year old girl, injured in a freak accident as she walked to school on February 16th, has died at the Carlos Haya hospital in Málaga.
The young girl was walking to school when an iron bar from an awning fell from the seventh floor of an apartment block at the junction of calle Carril de la Cordobesa and calle Río Guadame in the La Princesa district of Málaga. She suffered severe head trauma and had remained in hospital since the incident.
The girl had shown some improvement in the past few days and had been moved from the ICU to the wards, but her condition then deteriorated and, unfortunately, she died.
