Monday April 23rd is World Book Day and amongst the events being planned is a chance for local writers to exhibit, promote and sell their works on the Balcón de Europa.
A number of local cultural organisations will also be present at the exhibition on the Balcon de Europa.
Children in Nerja aged four to five years will be visiting the local library, accompanied by parents and teachers, to publicise the library, listen to stories and enjoy themselves in the playroom.
Students from various schools will also visit the library where they will not only learn about books but also receive their own library cards.
From 17:00 it is the ‘X Bibliotorneo’, a competition aimed at encouraging reading amongst children in the town. The event will end with an awards ceremony and a tenth anniversary party which includes a large cake.
