A man has been arrested in connection with the death of his 45 year old wife at their home in calle de Oslo, San Blas, Madrid.
The man called the Emergency Services to ask for medical help for his wife, María Isabel GJ, saying that she was unconscious. When the medics arrived on the scene they found the woman had a stab wound to the neck and was dead.
The husband was arrested on suspicion of murder. There was apparently no prior record of domestic abuse within the family unit.
There have been nineteen domestic killings so far this year, three of them in Madrid.
