Police in Jerez have arrested a 16 year old youth as the alleged perpetrator of a fatal stabbing in the early hours of Sunday morning at the local ‘botellódromo’.
There were three police officers on the scene to monitor the area, mostly frequented by young people, when a commotion began not thirty metres from where they were standing. The officers found an 18 year old bleeding from a stab wound to the chest and with the assistance of some people with medical knowledge they tried to save the youth.
Unfortunately they were unsuccessful and the youth died. The police officers then began to search for the alleged perpetrator and found him in the nearby parque González Hontoria. He was arrested and then taken to hospital for treatment of wounds to his hands.
