Officers from the Drugs and Organised Crime Unit (UDYCO) in Vélez-Málaga have arrested six people and seized 500 kilos of hashish, three pleasure boats and two vehicles in the latest operation against drug smuggling in the province.
The arrests were the culmination of three months of intensive surveillance by UDYCO officers.
The group allegedly used the pleasure boats to bring drugs from offshore, hashish being found hidden in the false bottom of one of the craft.
