A small inflatable boat carrying 42 people, including 10 women and 3 minors, was intercepted on Sunday night sixteen miles west of the Isla de Alborán.
The boat was intercepted at 22:45 on Sunday and arrived at the port of Motril in the early hours of Monday morning.
One of the women on board was in an advanced state of pregnancy and was transferred to the Hospital Comarcal in Motril for a check-up.
The immigrants are all sub-Saharans.
