National Police in Fuengirola have arrested a man on suspicion of causing death by negligence and failing to administer assistance following a hit and run accident last Thursday.
At 03:15 on Thursday, police officers were alerted to the presence of a body on avenida Ramón y Cajal in Fuengirola. The victim, a 49 year old Colombian national, was seriously injured and subsequently died from his wounds.
The police investigation led to the discovery that the man had been run over and that the vehicle involved was a taxi and the driver was then traced and detained.
