The Provincial Council has approved technical assistance for the implementation of the first phase of the Local Strategic Plan for Nerja, a document which apparently serves as the basis for defining the town model and the key strategies for developing the economic and social development of the area analysed.
Implementation of this Plan is the responsibility of the Provinvial Council through the Society for Planning and Development (SOPDE).
The Strategic Plan is also required when a Council applies for grants and aid from another government body and is often a required document when accessing such financial aid or grants.
