The Council has approved improvements to the project to renovate calles Velázquez, Murillo and Goya. This infrastructure renovation project began a couple of years ago, stopped due to problems with the contractor and then restarted in April 2012 with local company Gaspar Claros being awarded the new contract to finish the works.
Under the modified project, the existing square at the beginning of calle Velázquez will be renovated and a retaining wall, included in the original project, will be extended.
These extra works will apparently fall within the existing budget for the project. The project includes items put forward by local residents.
