The National Police are investigating the discovery of human remains, specifically a hand, on a plot of land at the intersection of Plaza de los Lobos and Horno de Abad in the centre of Granada.
The hand was found at around 14:00 on Monday by a group of archaeologists who were inspecting the area before the beginning of a planned construction.
It is not yet known whether the hand belongs to a male or female or how long it has been on the site, an abandoned private plot, but forensic scientists are now working to try and identify the person in question.
