After a week of intense work by technicians from the Department of Infrastructure, Nerja Council has now arrived at a figure relating to the damage caused by the recent storms, that figure being €848,028 and they will now request financial assistance from the relevant regional and central authorities. There were 33 points of damage identified by the technicians, the major ones being the collapsed wall at the municipal sports centre (€125,000), the road between urbanisation Chimenea and Burriana beach (€205,000) and the road from Maro to the beach (€175,000).
