Yet another toy boat carrying illegal immigrants has been intercepted, this time in the Strait of Gibraltar.
The boat was spotted drifting in the waters near Tarifa and Maritime Rescue vessels were sent to intercept. The passengers, seven sub-Saharan adult males, were taken to Tarifa where they were attended by Red Cross personnel before being handed over to the National Police for processing.
Several of the passengers had burns on their hand from trying to row the toy boat and one was suffering from severe hypothermia.
