Benalmádena Council is inviting tenders for the provision of uniforms for all municipal employees, where such is necessary, a measure they believe will result in a saving of 40% despite more staff being involved than was previously the case.
The contract has been tendered at €556,000, whereas the current municipal cost is in the region of €1 million. Companies can bid for separate batches or for the entire contract which will cover around 500 employees.
The contract will not only cover the existing areas, such as police, fire civil protection etc, but will also add new areas such as nursery school monitors.
