The full Council session has approved the municipal ordinances for 2013 with, in some cases, amendments made to the original proposals. The tax on rubbish collection, originally to be a linear rate of €3 will now be a sliding rate of €2, €3 or €4 taking into account the area and the assessed value of the property.
Changes were also made to the rates to be charged charged for municipal sports facilities to assist families with fewer resources and the Carnet Mayor – Senior Card – has also been incorporated into the ordinances to allow more participation in culture and sports activities by senior citizens through more affordable prices.
