Newly recruited Iberia pilots will receive around 40% less salary than existing staff under an arrangement set out by Jaime Montalvo, mediator between the airline and the pilot’s union Sepla in the ongoing dispute over the setting up of the low-cost airline Iberia Express.
Also covered are measures to increase productivity. An earlier mediation effort in November by Jaime Montalvo was overruled by the Social Chamber of the National Court due to procedural irregularities.
