A woman walking her dogs on the beach in Almayate, Vélez-Málaga, raised the alarm after noticing something not quite right at a beachfront urbanisation of apartments used as second homes. It turned out that all the apartments in the urbanisation, some thirty properties, had been robbed.
Between Sunday and Tuesday, thieves leisurely went from apartment to apartment, either breaking doors or climbing from balcony to balcony, removing various items such as tv’s, hobs and taps.
The thieves had not entirely finished their task as a small pile of items was found ready to be picked up later.
The owners, all residents of Málaga, have now hired a security guard to oversee the urbanisation.
