Local swimmer Lourdes Herrero Centurión, aged ten years, won the gold medal in the 100 metres freestyle at the regional championships, the XXI Campeonato de Andalucía Alevin, held at the San Pablo Municipal Pool in Sevilla in a time of 1’10″73. This great performance elevates her to third place in the national rankings.
Lourdes Herrero Centurión also won a bronze medal in the 200 metres freestyle event. There were 59 clubs participating in the regional championships with a total of 376 swimmers, 171 male and 205 female.
