The Council has approved an agreement with the Organización Social de Acción Humanitaria, OSAH, for the supply and maintenance of five containers for used clothing, thus swiftly complying with the resolution of January 20th 2009 by the Secretary of State for Climate Change which stipulates that there must be a minimum of one container per 3,000 inhabitants.
These five new containers, combined with the three existing containers, will make the ratio of one container per 2,827 inhabitants.
The new containers will be located in calle Madrid, avenida de Pescia next to the colegio Narixa, the Sports Centre next to El Zoco, calle Mirto next to the market site and road to playa de Maro.
The agreement states that the procurement, installation, maintenance, emptying etc is the responsibility of OSAH and will not cost the Council anything.
