Spending on corruption cases

The Ministry of Justice apparently spent more than €10 million in 2012 investigating cases of corruption, of which there are around 798 nationwide.

The information was revealed when the spokesperson for the UPyD, Rosa Díez, asked if the Executive was planning to make more money available in the fight against corruption.

Just imagine how many extra millions, or even billions, of taxpayer’s money would be available for worthwhile projects if honesty and integrity prevailed in positions of authority and power. But we dream again.
