The Guardia Civil in Madrid have arrested one of their own officers in Navas del Rey on suspicion of being the perpetrator of 19 cases of arson in the Madrid area since July 17th.
The suspect was detained on Thursday afternoon by SEPRONA officers following an investigation involving the cooperation of the Fire Brigade, Forest Rangers and officers from his own unit.
The fires were set in the Navas del Rey, Chapinería and Cadalso de los Vidrios areas of the Community of Madrid.
