Two people died just after noon on Sunday when their ultralight plane crashed near Milagro, Navarra.
Local residents reported seeing a pillar of smoke at around 12:20 on Sunday evening near the Milagro water deposits.
The plane took off at 11:15 from an airfield in Sesma but then, for reasons not yet known, plunged to earth killing the pilot and his passenger. Identification of the bodies has been made more difficult by the fact that they were badly charred as a result of the impact fire.
