A fire in the cabin of a trailer caused hold-ups of about two kilometers near to the Cerro Gordo tunnel in Nerja. Fortunately the two people in the trailer did not require medical assistance.
At around 17:40, the emergency services began to receive calls from people from both Málaga and Granada provinces alerting them to the incident, which occurred km 300.7.
The Fire Brigade, ambulance service, Guardia Civil, INFOCA and road maintenance arrived on the scene and confirmed that it was the cabin of a trailer transporting fruits that had caught fire.
Traffic had to be diverted via the old N-340 coastal road.
