Four people, including a five-year-old child, required hospital treatment for smoke inhalation following a fire at a home in calle Gardenia in urbanisation ‘El Chaparral’ in Albolote, Granada province.
The fire began in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Firefighters had to rescue a 52-year-old woman and her 20-year-old daughter who were trapped in one of the rooms of the house.
The two women plus an 83-year-old man and a 5-year-old child had to be transferred to the Hospital Ruiz de Alda for treatment for smoke inhalation.
The fire affected the living room, kitchen and bedroom of the property.
