The Department of Coasts has begun repair work on El Playazo beach on the stretch between the rio Seco and the first car park, which came into use in the summer.
The repairs are apparently being carried out after denuncias made by a group of local residents. According to the Council, it is the wrongful acts of drivers in the area which led to local residents complaining to the Ombudsman.
The rest of the track is unaffected by the works and access to the car parks is uninterrupted.
