A total of 48 homes had to be evacuated following a fire which began on the roof of number 5 Avenida Euskadi in Pasaia, Guipúzcoa.
The incident happened just after midnight and although there were no injuries, a number of buildings were badly damaged. The blaze was finally extinguished at around 03:30.
There had been a similar fire nearby the previous day but police do not think the two incidents are related. Several families had to be transferred to Council accommodation due to the damage to their homes.
