A police unit assigned to the Junta de Andalucia for the purpose of combating illegal gambling has raided a clandestine poker game being held at a venue in Rincón de la Victoria.
Police had to apply for a warrant to search the premises, located on the road from Benagalbón, as surveillance made difficult by the security measures employed by the owners of the property.
In the raid police seized €5475 in cash, 1,199 poker chips of various denominations, 29 decks of cards and a laptop. At the time of the raid, 13 people were sat around two tables merrily playing poker for money.
