National Police officers have arrested two people for allegedly stealing around 200 kilos of avocados, mangoes, chirimoyas and other citrus fruits from a farm in Almayate.
The thefts took place at night and on one occasion the thieves also stole an irrigation pump. With the cooperation of local residents, the police were able to identify and arrest the alleged culprits.
The detainees are a neighbour of the victim and a man who was working on the neighbour’s farm.
