The ‘wild’ area behind the restaurant Papagayo on Calahonda beach is being totally cleared and the trees have been reduced to stumps. Guessing this is the location for the new lighting rather than the start of any work to reopen the old walkway.
The main area of calle Carmen connecting to the Plaza de España is now paved and, it seems, finished. Work is continuing, though, in front of the bank.
The roadworks began in early November 2013 with a completion period of 45 days…bang on time then…give or take a month or two.
The marquees are being set up in Plaza de España ready for the Carnival celebrations.
