Work has started in Maro on improvements to the terrestrial conduction of residual waters, the works centred around La Caleta beach.
The beach is closed for the duration of the works but is currently expected to be open again by Easter.
The project is budgeted at €48,180. Once the sewage plant is built in Nerja, the land outfall will become a spillway for a pumping station to be located near the beach.
