During the XVIII century, King Carlos III granted the Brotherhood of Jesús El Rico the right to pardon a prisoner at Easter, and for the first time this involves a resident of Alhaurín de la Torre.
The prisoner concerned was convicted of robbery with violence and it took eleven years to get him into prison. Now, during the procession on Mietcoles Santo (Holy Wednesday), he will be officially released.
