Three arrested for thieving from food bank in Granada

The National Police have arrested three people, one of them a 90-year-old man, for alleged continued thefts from a food bank in Granada.

Officials at the Food Bank filed a complaint after noticing that stocks were disappearing for unknown reasons, only the volunteers having access.

Police discovered that for many nights, several vehicles were arriving at the premises and three people were entering without forcing the locks. They then left with trolleys full of goods and loaded them into the waiting vehicles.

One of the detainees, a 90-year-old with no criminal record, was a former volunteer and had a key to the premises in his possession. The other two operated small eating establishments in the area.
