Council proposes collaboration agreement to repair the track to El Pinarillo

The Council is proposing to ask the Málaga Provincial Delegation for Environment to sign a collaboration agreement to renovate the access roads to El Pinarillo and Fuente del Esparto in the Parque Natural Sierra Almijara y Tejeda.

The tracks to these two tourist areas, located behind the Nerja Caves, are made up of loose stones and suffer whenever it rains and also due to the amount of traffic. The tracks are often potholed and the Council is concerned about the conditions for access by municipal maintenance vehicles and the Emergency Services.

The track is also the access road for the rural lodge the Casa de los Mineros and the Council believes that tourism to the area would be improved if it was repaired. The Council has, on a number of previous occasions, asked the Junta de Andalucia to carry out repairs in the area.
