The track from the Nerja Caves to the El Pinarillo picnic area will be closed to traffic on Sunday November 1st between 08:30 and 13:00 due to the holding of the II Media Maratón de Montaña Almijara Trail (half marathon).
Council proposes collaboration agreement to repair the track to El Pinarillo
The Council is proposing to ask the Málaga Provincial Delegation for Environment to sign a collaboration agreement to renovate the access roads to El Pinarillo and Fuente del Esparto in the Parque Natural Sierra Almijara y Tejeda.
Work starts to repair track to El Pinarillo
The Council has announced the start of work to fix the track leading up to El Pinarillo, badly damaged by the weather over the past few years and considered a hazard for vehicles.
Council once again requesting repairs to rural tracks
The Council is once again requesting the Ministry of Environment of the Junta de Andalucia to carry out repairs to the tracks leading to El Pinarillo and Fuente del Esparto, although one would imagine that the chances of action, particularly with the elections coming up, are slim at best.

In the absence of any response to numerous requests to the provincial and regional authorities to repair the track leading up to El Pinarillo, the Council has decided to undertake repairs to the worst affected parts.
New statue please
The Councillor for the Environment, José Miguel Jimena, has filed a motion requesting the commissioning of a new statue for the picnic area El Pinarillo. The previous statue, of an Ibex, was stolen last year.
