Work has started on improvements to the lighting at Torrecilla beach, with the replacement of 40 lamps, the addition of two new lamps and the installation of projectors to illuminate the whole beach area.
The work is part of the Implementation Plan for Energy Optimisation – they do love their ‘Plans’ – and is being financed by the Málaga Provincial Council, the budgeted amount being €40,000.
The project will see the replacement of the old 100/150 watt system with 50 watt LED lights, which are more efficient and less costly.
A total of ten projectors will be installed to allow for the lighting up of the entire beach at Torrecilla.
