The mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armjo, has announced that the Málaga provincial Council and the Ministry of Environment will be investing a total of €1,019,000 for improvements in Nerja, specifically in the area around El Playazo beach.
The Ministry of Environment will allocate €800,000 to regenerate El Playazo and perform actions related to adaptation to climate change and regeneration of the beach.
Málaga Council will provide €219,000 for the construction of two bridges over the rio Chillar and the rio Seco near El Playazo.
The bridge over the rio Seco will be 16.5 metres in length and 3 metres wide. The project has a budget of €62,000 and a completion period of one month.
The bridge at the mouth of the rio Chillar will be 30 metres in length and 3 metres wide. The budget for this project is €157,000 and the completion period is also one month.
