The Council is carrying out urgent repairs to metal pillars at the municipal swimming pool, an action which will cause a slight delay to the start of the planned swimming activities.
The nine metal pillars supporting the stands have apparently suffered extreme corrosion and have started to break, necessitating emergency repairs.
The planned swimming activities should now start at the end of next week or the start of the week after.
