Malaga welcomes Cirque du Soleil

Montreal based theatrically acrobatic group Cirque du Soleil returns to the Costa del Sol with a new show for the first time in ten years.

Entitled “Totem” the show explores a theory of mankind’s evolution from the primordial, amphibian state toward the aspiration of flight exploring many myths and beliefs along the way.

The show arrived at the Cortijo de Torres fairground in Malaga on Friday to set up the massive 2,500 spectator tent at the Cortijo de Torres fairground where the show will run from the 1st of June until 1st of July.

Head of security for the European tour Javier Pérez González was on hand to greet the 76 trucks packed with 2,000 tonnes of staging arriving from Barcelona saying: “Building the tent is our way of showing Malaga that we are here.”
