Proceedings opened relating to an incident in 2011

The Court of First Instance and Instruction Number 3 in Vélez-Málaga has ordered the opening of oral proceedings against three residents, two police officers and the Council relating to an incident which occurred in January 2011 during the introduction of the smoking ban in bars.

Nerja goalkeeper on assault charges

The Nerja goalkeeper is accused of hitting and grabbing the referee by the neck and the prosecution is requesting a €240 fine and €608 compensation for the injuries.

Briton arrested for assault in Benahavis

A British national, M.E.H., has been arrested in Benahavis for the alleged crimes of illegal possession of weapons and assault after he entered an establishment in Marbella and broke the leg of another Briton. The accused is due to appear in Court shortly. The victim suffered a broken tibia and fibula.

Charlie Lindoe, a 13 year old schoolboy, allegedly hurled an apple at a classmate and, although he denied the assault, he quite expected a stern telling off. Five days passed and then suddenly, two police constables appeared at his home at 11pm.

Extremists detained in Sevilla

National Police officers in Sevilla have so far arrested five members of far-right movements on charges of crimes against fundamental rights and causing bodily injury.

Doctor attacked in La Herradura

A doctor at a health centre in La Herradura, Granada province, was verbally and physically assaulted after telling a patient to wait their turn in the queue.
