Botanical gardens another step closer

The proposed botanical garden project between Maro and the Nerja Caves to be built on a 26,140 square metre plot of municipally owned land is one step closer after the receipt of a favourable report from the Ministry of Culture in Málaga.

The Councillor for Environment, José Miguel Jimena, has said that the Council is awaiting the project details relating to the proposed botanical gardens to be located on municipal land between the Nerja Caves and the village of Maro.

After almost five years of delays and proverbial red tape, the Junta de Andalucia has apparently finally given the go-ahead for the botanical garden project at the Nerja Caves.
