A 16 year old cyclist was knocked down and killed on Wednesday in the El Marquesado area of Puerto Real, Cádiz. The driver of the car fled the scene but later presented himself at the Guardia Civil station and confessed to having hit someone.

A 52 year old cyclist died on Saturday afternoon in Benalmádena after being hit by a vehicle. There have been several fatalities involving cyclists in recent days, other incidents occurring in Alicante, Ciudad Real and Torrox.

A 76 year old man died this morning at km 286 on the N-340 between Torrox and Nerja after falling from his bicycle. The man suffered serious head wounds and the Emergency Services could do nothing to save his life.
Body of cyclist found at the side of the road
At around 13:10 on Monday, the body of a cyclist was found by the side of the road between Cogollos Vega and Deifontes in Granada province. The body, as yet unidentified, apparently showed no signs of violence or involvement in a road traffic accident. An autopsy is being carried out to determine the exact cause of death.
