A youth has been arrested in Santa Fe, Granada province, on charges of extortion after he threatened a young girl via the social network Tuenti, forcing her to hand over about €3,000 in total over a period of time.
Work starts on new fire station in Colmenar
The Málaga provincial Council has started work on a new fire station in Colmenar, the project costing €500,000 with a completion period of six months. The new station will provide cover for Colmenar, Alfarnate, Alfarnatejo, Riogordo and Casabermeja as well as a stretch of the A-92.
3 year old boy seriously injured after fall from balcony
A three year old boy is in a serious condition in hospital after falling about eight metres from a balcony in calle San Fernando in Armilla. The incident occurred at around 19:15 on Sunday evening.

Bus strike today in Granada city
