The Secretariat General of Prisons has ordered a full audit of the accounts of Huelva prison after a discrepancy of €400,000 was found in the accounts relating to the period 2009 to 2011.
Prison without bail for bank robber
The Court of First Instance and Instruction Number 1 in Torrox has ordered the imprisonment without bail of 20 year old F. J. C. P., the youth accused of robbing the Unicaja bank in calle Antonio Ferrandis ‘Chanquete’ on Thursday.
Prison escape attempt foiled
The authorities at Alhaurín de la Torre prison, Málaga province, have foiled an escape attempt by one of the inmates, a 37 year old Spanish national. The prisoner, who is now in isolation, was trying the ‘traditional’, but rarely used, method of tying sheets together to make a rope.
