The bad weather has been causing problems throughout Andalucía. In Villamartín, a 73 year old man drowned after his car left the bridge over the río Guadalete, the second fatality in the region as a result of the bad weather.

Damp feria in Vélez-Málaga
Rain has been putting a damper on the feria celebrations in Vélez-Málaga and as a result, visitor numbers are said to be down on last year.

Málaga, Jaén, Granada and Almería remain on ‘yellow alert’ for thunderstorms and heavy rains.
The rain in Spain….is still wet

Orange alert for rains
Málaga, Granada and Almería provinces are on ‘Orange’ alert for heavy rains today, up to 30 litres per square metre expected to fall within one hour in some places.
