Ronda Council has approved a €295,000 project, financed through Provincial Council funds, to renovate a section of Avenida Málaga from the colegio Miguel de Cervantes to the junction with calle La Toma, the works to include one of two new roundabouts destined for the town.
Renovation of the Patio de los Leones at the Alhambra in Granada
Preparation work for the restoration of the marble paved area of the Patio de los Leones in the Alhambra in Granada begins tomorrow and is scheduled to last for two months.
Renovations in urbanisation Montoya, la Cala del Moral
Work being carried out in calles Juan Montoya, Boliche, Vendaval, Manuel Rojas López and Manuel Fernández Moreno in urbanisation Montoya in la Cala del Moral, Rincón de la Victoria, are expected to be completed in May according to the Council. The project is costing €262,000.
Playground renovations continue
The Council is continuing to renovate the various playgrounds in the municipality and are currently working in calle Antonio Ferrandis ‘Chanquete’ on the play area next to La Fabrica.
La Piscina being renovated
The tapas bar La Piscina on calle La Cruz is currently closed for what look like extensive interior renovations.
Renovations in Vélez-Málaga
The renovations to calle Pancho López, between Teatro del Carmen and the commercial centre of Vélez-Málaga, have been completed at a cost of €183,379.
Vélez-Málaga Council puts in request for new school in Torre del Mar
Vélez-Málaga Council has asked the regional government to undertake the building of a new school in Torre del Mar and, at the same time, requesting a number of other renovation and improvement works to be carried out on schools in the area.
Finlay’s The Corner
Work is continuing on the former Finlay’s The Corner on avenida Castilla Perez, the outside getting a lick of paint and the inside beginning to take shape. Shouldn’t be too long before the place opens.
Málaga Council funding various projects in Periana
Málaga Provincial Council is funding a number of renovation projects in the town of Periana with the funds coming from the Plan de Concertación 2010 and 2011.
Torre del Mar promenade renovations
The Municipal Housing Company EMVIPSA has awarded the €2.3 million contract to renovate the Torre del Mar promenade to the joint venture company Ávila y Granados-Etosa with a completion period of 12 months. The promenade was built in 1984.
