Bees on the rampage

At around 07:45 on Thursday morning, a Council vehicle was transporting bees along a bumpy and potholed road near Villaverde del Río, Sevilla, when the bees were presented with an opportunity to escape, which they duly took.

Panrico to close Sevilla plant

The management of Panrico has announced its intention to close its plant in Sevilla as part of a strategic plan to reduce costs and are hoping to negotiate with the unions for the transfer of staff to Puente Genil (Córdoba).

Attendances down at the Feria de Abril 2012 in Sevilla

The Feria de Abril 2012 in Sevilla is over for another year but, although a success in some ways, attendances this year were much lower than normal, officials attributing this to the economic crisis, unemployment in the city and, to some extend, the inclement weather for part of the week.
