Body found in swimming pool in Marbella

An 84-year-old man was found floating in a swimming pool at urbanisation Marbella House in Marbella in the early hours of Sunday morning. The body was discovered at around 00:15. The cause of death has not yet been determined.

A 68-year-old woman died from drowning on Friday afternoon at a swimming pool in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Cádiz province. The incident occurred at around 15:40 in calle Poda in the Bonanza district of the town.

A woman drowned on Friday afternoon at a swimming pool in an urbanisation on Avenida de las Palmeras in Torrox Costa. The Emergency Services received a call at 18:04 to say that there was a body was floating in the pool. Medics performed resuscitation techniques but could not revive the woman.

No swimming pool for Archidona prison

Delays to Torre del Mar swimming pool

The new indoor swimming pool in the Cerro del Águila of Torre del Mar will not now be completed in March as had earlier been announced by the mayor, Francisco Delgado. The latest estimate is completion during the second quarter, but officials would not give any indication as to when it will actually open for use.

Swimming pool closed again

In 2006, Torrox Council decided to convert a perfectly adequate outdoor swimming pool in La Granja into an indoor heated facility at an initial cost of €1.2 million. Due to the usual technical and administrative problems associated with most projects, the new facility didn’t open until February 2012.
