Last year, a project was started to ‘beautify’ the Balcón de Europa area, which included the laying of new tiles, renewing the cables in the area and installing a new ‘artistic’ lighting system.
After various postponements, work is finally due to start very shortly on the lighting system and it is hoped that it will be completed by Christmas. The €76,000 project, which was actually awarded a long time ago, will see new lamposts being installed as well as ‘artistic’ lighting in amongst the rows of trees and plants as well as along the sides of the Balcón. The new lighting will all be low energy consumption.
