A meeting between the Council and the Market Traders Association (AVAM) has been scheduled for Monday December 29th.
The meeting will focus on technical reports relating to AVAM’s proposal to use the Parque Verano Azul as a site for the weekly market. The market traders proposed Parque Cerano Azul as a possible site about a month ago and were complaining that they had not had any response from the Council.
AVAM also intends to renew its protests, continuing until there is a solution to the dispute which has now seen Nerja without a regular weekly market for 27 weeks.
