The Councillor for Infrastructure, José Alberto Tomé Rivas, has announced plans to renovate Plaza de Andalucía, a project with a budget of €66,576.
The idea is to modernise the plaza, remove steps and slopes to make it more accessible for everyone but the trees are likely to stay. The statue of Blas Infante, however, be moved and there is also a plan to have a flag pole with the Spanish flag fluttering in the breeze.
The basic design will be similar to Plaza Tutti Frutti in many ways.
The completion period set for these works is two months. If the bidding process is swift, work may begin before the summer, otherwise it will have to wait until later in the year.
