The ruling PP rejected a motion by the Opposition PSOE asking the Council to request that the Nerja Caves be declared a World Heritage Site.
The spokesman for the PP, José Miguel García, stated that this first has to be approved at a plenary session of the Nerja Caves Foundation before any such action can be taken.
